@Thranduil this slider contains of two parts: the backend (data in database) and the frontend (js). It's quite "simple" to do the backend in SilverStripe, though the frontend implementation is always custom made. You might search the addons site for "gallery" or "hero image"

@sander did you flush the test user? e.g. the CLI user? in doubt just delete the content of the silverstripe-cache folder in your project. Sometimes that helps me getting over test troubles.

I doubt the DO knows the Modeladmin, just vice versa

@Andy2708 switch to Environment: Dev; check the response of the ajax call in your browser's development extensions (networking tab) or hit "reload" after creating the item. The error should be printed when you want to edit the created item (if it's created). Could be something with your cms fields
